First species check list for the Crane Prairie

The Sandhill Crane Wet Prairie has had a different history than our other planted prairies. It is not from a former ag field, but from a highly degraded wooded area. Link to history of the Crane Prairie.

The Crane Prairie provides an example of what can be done if the goal is to turn any old piece of land into a natural area. Expensive, but it can be done!
