I'm very glad that I found this info online. I have downloaded the book and plan to read it. I don't know where to start.
Firstly, I'm a third generation Dane County person that now lives (retired) in the northeast of Brazil and wishing that there were restoration projects here I could be involved in. Seems that the restoration bug is active in WI (I worked Fayville, Baxter's Hollow, TU projects and more ever since Audrey Ready dragged me off to cut honeysuckle in the Arboretum) Secondly, PVC, before it was PVC and in the hands of the Samson family, was a place that I spent time and enjoyed as a young person. Harland & Faye's son Scott was a best friend. Many nights were spent in the converted chicken shed. Horses rides up and down the property and PV Road were a pleasure. And (I admit) there were Honda 70 trailbike adventures and misadventures.
I am thankful that dedicated preservationists do such good work there in the Midwest and wish that they might be a way to spread this concern and activity to more around the globe. MattB in Campina Grande, Paraiba - Brazil

Thanks for your note. Interesting to hear from one who remembers the old days at PVC!
