This is the second year we have had kestrels nesting in the box we installed. This nest box is near our field station so we can enjoy watching the kestrels while eating lunch, etc.
A few days ago Heisley discovered a newly fledged young in front of our well house. At that time they seem very tame and she was able to get some nice photos.
